Interactive Digital Publishing with Adobe InDesign
Digital Publishing with Adobe InDesign involves the creation of EPUBs (both Reflowable and Fixed layout), Adobe Publish Online, Interactive PDFs, and the Adobe Digital Publishing Solution (DPS). This course is entirely devoted to creating interactive Reflowable EPUBs, Fixed Layout EPUBs, Interactive PDF files, and Adobe Publish Online (Preview). Adobe DPS is not part of this class.
Using one of the four options available to you in creating digital publishing content you can create interactive magazines, brochures, pamphlets, invitations, announcements and more. You can have your creations hosted by content providers and earn income for saleable publications or you can share your publications with friends and colleagues. You can even share interactive publications on your Facebook or Twitter pages.
This course teaches you how to add animation, video and audio, slide shows (using multi-state objects), hyperlinks (to internal and external documents), and how to create interactive buttons. You learn how to export files for Apple iBooks, Adobe Digital Editions, Kindle, Nook, and Kobo eBook readers, Interactive PDF for Adobe Reader, and Adobe’s new Publish Online service where you can export a digital document and share it on Facebook, Twitter, and Web sites.
Interactive digital publishing is another service professional graphic designers can provide their clients. You can create dynamic and engaging documents for advertisements, product brochures, services descriptions, or any other item of interest to clients. You can also create engaging and dynamic documents for personal invitations and announcements, and you can create self-published eBooks for distribution or sale through content providers.
This course is intended for anyone wanting to create interactive digital publishing documents and for those who have been working with print and web site files who want to expand their skills. Regardless of the kind of work you do, digital publishing enhances any type of creative development. It’s at the forefront of a new revolution for producing content that people view, read, and interact with.
