Shooting & Processing Panorama & HDR

This two-day workshop is an introduction to shooting and creating HDR (High Dynamic Range) photographs. The human eye is capable of viewing light (brightness) within about 18 f-stops while the top of the line DSLR cameras can capture a range of brightness within about 10-12 f-stops. Camera sensors clip highlights and shadows in areas we can see naturally but are typically not reproduced on photo prints.

By exposing shots using bracketed exposures shooting for highlights, shadows, and mid tones, we can merge 3 or more photos into a single photo image and capture highlight/shadow information that cannot be obtained with a single shot.

In this class you learn how to shoot for HDR imaging, shoot panoramas for HDR imaging, how to merge photos using Photoshop’s Merge to HDR Pro feature, merge photos from Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Bridge, use 3rd party (free demo software downloads) such as Photomatix and Efex.
