Guillermo “Ige” Ramos

Ige Ramos is a renowned pillar in the book and magazine publishing industry. Last year he designed Simply Delicious, commemorating 50 years of the Maya Kitchen. His design for A Pilgrim’s Diary and The Governor-General’s Kitchen won a National Book Award for Best Design in 2005 and 2006, respectively. In 2008 The Governor-General’s Kitchen also won Best Design in the Philippines and was Finalist in the Best Culinary History in the Gourmand World Cookbook Award-Best in the World. He was editor-in-chief and designer of Rustan’s Supermarket sansRival magalogue until its end run this year.

He is the principal designer of Ige Ramos Design Studio (IRDS) and the publisher of ZeusBooks, which co-published Jessica Zafra’s Twisted 8.

His pioneering efforts in the field of digital art earned him top honors in the International Designers’s Network (IdN Club, Philippines) since 1998. He was the very first winner in the Digital Art Category when it was first instituted in the 53rd Art Association of the Philippines Annual. In 2004 he completed the Managing the Arts Program at the Asian Institute of Management, and was a finalist in the Doreen G. Fernandez Food Writing Award.

Mario Ramirez

Mario RamirezMario Ramirez is known for making a difficult program like Photoshop easy to swallow. Since becoming an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in 2001, he has taught over a hundred Photoshop classes at PCCI. He is also an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) in Photoshop CS6.

Aside from teaching at PCCI, he regularly speaks at prestigious conventions such as Graphic Expo and the Graphic & Publishing Seminar Series, and has been a resource speaker for professional groups such as the UAP and for student organizations such as the Philippine Science High School and the UP EEE Department.
