Film 101: Film History and Philosophy (seminar)
Foundation is very important in any endeavor. Along with the essential technical and storywriting skills needed in filmmaking, a study of cinema’s rich history will arm the future filmmaker with ideas, theories, concepts, and philosophies that have shaped and guided past and present movers of this multi-billion dollar global entertainment industry.
This one-day seminar gives an overview of the very popular and young (130 years old) artform known as cinema. The seminar will be discussing films, filmmakers, the film industry, and filmmaking itself.

It is hoped that the students will not just have additional knowledge on cinema but have a renewed appreciation and deeper perspective of film as entertainment and art. This seminar will aid participants in their future endeavor in the art and business of filmmaking.
