PCCI (Philippine Center for Creative Imaging) Institute of Photography

The Institute

PCCI Institute of Photography (PIOP) is the country’s premier training hub for the country’s growing pool of photographers. We offer the widest range of intensive hands-on workshops in photography and digital imaging.

Aside from our ever-popular Basic Photography course, we offer workshops and seminars on specialized fields of photography, such as wedding, portrait, and food. We have workshops for every skill level, beginner through advanced.

PIOP is a division of the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI), the country’s first training center authorized by Canon and Adobe, as well as, Corel, and Wacom.

Canon Digital Learning Center

Recognizing PCCI’s expertise in the field of digital photography and imaging, Canon Philippines has designated PCCI as its Digital Learning Center (DLC) in the country. As the Canon DLC, PCCI (through its Institute of Photography) provides Canon digital camera users organized instruction on maximizing the use of their cameras, scanners and printers.

Adobe Authorized Training

Training courses in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom are offered under PCCI, the country’s first and only Adobe Authorized Training Center (AATC). The AATC certification is your guarantee that PCCI’s courses and training on Photoshop and Lightroom meet the Adobe standard of excellence.

Learn from the Pros

PIOP taps some of the most respected professional photographers in the country to lead its seminars and workshops. So class participants gain much more than the conventional techniques taught in photography books. They benefit from the instructors’ real-world experience.

Training Technique

PIOP uses the instructor-led, participant-centered approach to training, which has been proven highly effective in providing the right environment conducive to fast and effective learning.

Intensive, Hands-on Workshop Method

Training experts agree that learning by doing is the fastest, most cost-effective way to acquire new skills. And doing it in a workshop environment promotes a high-degree of interaction and involvement among participants. A workshop is a short, intensive, total-immersion learning experience.

One-Day Seminars

In addition to hands-on workshops, PIOP offers several one-day seminars. These seminars, while not hands-on, explain in simple terms the basic concepts and issues participants need to grasp before taking the corresponding hands-on courses.

State-of-the-Art Training Facility

PIOP has two fully-equipped photo studios, while PCCI has several computer labs that’s used for computer-based classes (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).

Each computer lab offers each workshop participant the use of a Mac or Windows computer, a Wacom graphics tablet, and Canon photo-quality printers. PIOP also has a library of photography books and periodicals for in-house use by class participants.
