Autodesk Maya: Texturing & Lighting
This advanced course in Maya focuses on Rendering. The class continues from where the Foundation course leaves off with regard to texturing and lighting.
Some topics covered will be the different types of materials, such as Blinn, Phong, Lambert and Anisotropic. Also covered are advanced shaders and shading networks, as well as the different types of lights, their characteristics and their uses.
Global Illumination and Final Gather using the award-winning Mental Ray renderer will also be tackled.

Who should attend
This course is for animators and modelers who want to create dazzling imagery in Maya.
Prerequisites
To benefit from this course, participants should have completed PCCI's Maya: Foundation course or have equivalent experience.
Presentation method
Class time will be divided between instructor-led presentations and hands-on exercises. Classes will be limited to five students, with an individual computer workstation and Wacom graphics tablet for each student to use during the course.
